National RV Training Academy (NRVTA)

The largest hands-on RV technical school in the country. In-person, lab-heavy, and openly aimed at people who intend to go independent rather than work a dealership bay.

LocationAthens, Texas — in person
FormatHands-on labs with real units on site
Class size50+ in the first week; smaller in advanced courses
CoversElectrical, water, propane, and the major appliances
RecognitionNot RVIA-recognised; points students toward RVTAA credentials

Pick it if…

Pick NRVTA if you are going independent or mobile. The lab time is the point, and the Fundamentals course includes optional sessions on actually starting the business — forming an LLC, working out startup costs — which no online curriculum covers.

Think twice if…

It is not RVIA-recognised. If your plan is a dealership job and that dealer asks for RVTI specifically, this will not tick their box on its own.
