Standard Size and Color Coding:
- The standard size for PEX tubing in RVs is typically ½ inch in diameter. This size is sufficient for most RV plumbing needs, balancing water flow and efficient use of space.
- For easier identification, PEX tubing often uses color coding. Blue PEX tubing is typically used for cold water lines, and red PEX tubing is used for hot water lines. This color-coding helps during installation and troubleshooting to avoid accidentally mixing hot and cold water lines.
