Rooftop units are where most service calls start, and where the wrong part costs you a second trip. Shrouds, control boards, fan motors and capacitors vary by series and often by revision within a series — so identify from the model plate, not the silhouette.

Read the model number, not the shroud

Brisk Air, Penguin and Blizzard shrouds look alike from a ladder, and the same shroud covers several control configurations. The number on the plate decides which board and which fan motor fit.

Control boards change mid-series

Boards get superseded and the replacement often isn't a straight swap — some substitutes drop automatic fan cycling. Check the notes column against the callout before ordering.
